our history
Bragg and McConnell's creative journey began in the mid-2000s improvising at the Second City Conservatory in Chicago. After completing the Second City Writing Program, Bragg formed the sketch comedy group Grandma June's Sewing Circle, casting McConnell in the lineup. Their collaboration flourished, and in 2011, they both appeared in the improvised film Welcome to Gentle Waters. Sharing a week of close quarters on set, their bond deepened significantly. Shortly thereafter, Bragg and McConnell co-founded (long pause) a sketch group that uniquely blended filmed and live performances.

Bragg and McConnell fortuitously ended up living on the same Chicago street, Summerdale Ave., where they began holding nightly writing (and cooking) sessions. Even after McConnell relocated to Wilmington, DE, their creative partnership continued to thrive, maintaining the same energy and collaboration that began on Summerdale Ave.
